PRESCHOOL WITHOUT WALLS
Creating new models of community-based education by affirming the role of parents in their children’s early learning.

The SBCC Approach

Preschool Without Walls (PWW) was founded on the core value that parents and caregivers are their children's first and best lifelong teachers. This program is purposefully designed to ignite the innate capacity of parents to foster their children's learning. As such, PWW represents a genuine partnership between parents, communities, children, and staff, creating a dynamic approach to early education.

The Work We Do

‍PWW harnesses the innate capacity of parents and communities to promote children’s learning in communities where traditional preschool isn’t available due to institutional, cultural, or financial circumstances. ‍In this innovative model, parents and caregivers learn alongside their children as they cultivate physical, social, emotional, and cognitive excellence across a range of subjects geared towards helping them develop the social and academic skills needed to be kindergarten ready. PWW helps strengthen the four domains of child development (physical, social, emotional, and cognitive) through a focus on early literacy, mathematics, STEM-based themes, colors, songs, activities, and essential, everyday life topics. This community-based approach creates a space, both on-line and in person, for parents and caregivers to be a part of their child's growth and development.
