Laura is the founder to El Cajon de Jürgen where she creates one of a kind jewelry pieces and decorative items made of wiring techniques, ceramics and deco podge. Laura was born in Mexico City and now resides in the city of Lomita. She moved to the United States to help her daughter with her family for a few months and never imagined making this her permanent home.
El Cajón de Jürgen ”emerged many years ago, when Laura had the opportunity to get closer to the world of artisan jewelry and she noticed that there were an infinity of materials to make beautiful models. She discovered herself, overnight, immersed in this wonderful world, and she felt very happy to explore it more and more.
She likes to observe the balance between the different elements and the effect they achieve by making her items attractive and sober at the same time. What she has learned has been through trial and error.
In addition, a percentage of the profits that Laura manages to obtain is dedicated to the defense and protection of animals, wonderful beings that suffer so much at the hands of humans. Therefore, from her jewelry she get three satisfactions: To become an artisan, to give herself the pleasure of earning some money for it and to support her divine animals.
Laura states, “I want my clients to perceive the energy, dedication and passion that I put in each of my pieces, no matter how simple they are.
